If I had 100 dollars.

This blog we are doing ethical gifting. I believe this is a very important cause because there are millions and millions of people that don't have food , clean water or even a home to sleep in. this usually takes place in "developing countries " this week we are pretending the we each have $100 and can spend it at either Oxfam, the salvation army, plan Canada,and world vision.I decided to use Oxfam because it has good prices and lots of options .

gift one :  we chose a chicken for $15 so that they can eat the chickens eggs
gift two: mosquito net for $20 to keep the family's safe from mosquito's and from getting deadly diseases 
gift three: tools for $39 for planting harvesting and constructing sturdier homes
gift four: safe water for $22 so they don't get sick from dirty water

Poem

This assignment we have to say what this poem means to us and how it should be applied to our society . I think this poem means your opinion changes but the truth doesn't . The truth stays the same forever . And if you can't have an opinion and the truth choose truth. It effects society by telling us to tell the truth .

The Golden Rule.

The message of the golden rule is treat others how you want to be treated  and that means don't talk behind someones back if you do want them doing that to you . If everyone behaved according to the golden rule life would be drama free, there would be a lot less wars and people wouldn't be so selfish . Sometimes we don't behave according to the golden rule because we are jealous of one another , to be "cool " in front of your friends or just to be rude . My favorite expression of the golden rule is "treat not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful" because I think it is the best and easiest way to say the golden rule .
